Luke 12:49 I have come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already blazing!

As disciples, we are all called together to set ourselves, and those around, on fire for the Lord and His Word. Even though we receive our Lord’s fire within us it can fluctuate, as our human nature is in a constant battle, either influenced, distracted by our surroundings, confused or in conflicts, distracting us from remembering who we are, who we belong to, what our purpose is here on earth. Let’s remember the words of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, a french Jesuit priest, philosopher, and paleontologist – We are spiritual beings on a human journey. 

Romans 8:9 But you are not in the flesh; on the contrary, you are in the spirit, if only the Spirit of God dwells in you.

John 8:31-32 If you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

Our battle is won by knowing this truth that God’s Spirit is in us and this truth will set us free. God’s Spirit dwells in us and those around us. Let’s do everything out of love for Jesus and always focus on God’s Spirit in every being. Even when conflicts arise, let’s pray and strive for love and peace out of love for what God has done for us. He died, so we remain in love and peace with each other, always building up the body of Christ. An invisible army of angels and saints are rooting for us in this journey. 

Hebrews 12:1-2 Since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us rid ourselves of every burden and sin that clings to us* and persevere in running the race that lies before us while keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the leader and perfecter of faith.

St. Theresa of Calcutta, when she had any conflicts or had to make tough decisions or interaction with people/parties regarding important matters, asked for her angel to intervene with the angel of the other person so Lord’s perfect will is always done. When you are faced with similar situations remember to invoke the help of your guardian angel who is tasked to support you on this journey and fulfill the Father’s will. Whether we win or loose in earthly matters remain in peace because Lord’s will is being done.
