Romans 8:38 – 39 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers,
nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. The struggles of this world, nor the current situations can separate us from the love of God.

In the 1700’s, in Pontchateau, St Louis de Montfort announced building a monumental Calvary on a neighboring hill. For 15 months, 200 – 400 volunteers worked daily with enthusiasm. The finished cross was over 50 ft tall, surrounded by an elaborate Rosary and gardens. On the day of dedication, that was on the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, due to the influence of Jansenists, the order came from the king that the whole scene should be demolished. St Louis de Montfort was not disturbed on receiving this humiliating news, exclaiming only: “We had hoped to build a Calvary here. Let us build it in our hearts. Blessed be God!”

Blessed be God forever!! No situation, no matter what it is, can separate us from the love of God. God is for us! God always love us. This is the truth. Let us rejoice always in God’s love for us and let us believe this truth and live it out.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank you for your unconditional love for me. Sorry that I fail to love you back in turn. Fill me with more of your love and more knowledge of this great love you have for me. Help me share your love with others. Help me to do everything in love for you always. Amen.
