I voluntarily gave myself up to my enemies, and my friends remained, and my mother in most bitter grief and pain. And though I saw the lance, nails, scourges, and other instruments of torture ready, I nevertheless went joyfully to my Passion. And, although my head was bedewed with blood on all sides, and even if my enemies touched my very heart, I would rather have it divided, than be deprived of thee. 
Thou art too ungrateful, then, if thou lovest me not for so great charity. 
For if my head is pierced and bowed down on the cross for thee, thy head should be inclined to humility. 
And because my eyes were bloody and full of tears, so thy eyes should abstain from every delightful sight. 
And because my ears were full of blood, and heard words of detraction against me, therefore, let thy ears be turned away from scurrilous and foolish discourse. 
And as my mouth was filled with a most bitter draught, and cut off from good, so let thy mouth be closed to evil and open to good. 
And as my hands were extended with nails, by reason of thy works, which are signified by the hands, let them be extended to the poor, and to my commandments. 
Let thy feet, that is, thy affections, by which thou shouldst go to me, be crucified to pleasure ; that as I suffered in all my members, so let all them be ready for my service. Prayer: Thank You Jesus for by Your passion and death, You purchased eternal life for me. Thank You Lord for Your divine life that flows from Your sacred side for me. Please help me to always be mindful and grateful of Your great sacrifice of love.

By the merits of the Your most sorrowful passion dear Jesus and as I meditate on Your sacred head crowned with thorns, Lord please grant me humility so that I may always pleasing to You.

By the merits of Your most sorrowful passion dear Jesus, as I meditate on Your Holy Face and eyes covered with tears and blood, guard my senses. Guard my eyes, my mind and my thoughts so I may always be pure and holy.

By the merits of Your most sorrowful passion and as I meditate on Your Holy Face and ears full of blood, that heard all the hurtful words and comments, Lord please guard my ears from all foolish discourse.

By the merits of Your most sorrowful passion and as I meditate on Your Holy Face and mouth filled with bitter gall, Lord please place a guard on my mouth. Free me from gossip, lying, slander, hurtful words and all evil. Use my mouth for good, for Your glory, praise and thanksgiving.

By the merits of Your most sorrowful passion and as I meditate on Your nail pierced hands please help me to faithfully follow Your commandments, do good works. Please help me reach out to the poor and needy around me. Help me to do the good works that You desire and plan for me to do.

By the merits of Your most sorrowful passion and as I meditate on Your nail pierced feet please help me to faithfully serve You in love. Help me to do all things great and small only in love for You. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
