33 Days of Morning Glory – Marian Consecration

Luke 1:38 Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.

With Mary’s ‘Yes’ to the Father’s will, the Word was made flesh by the power of the Holy Spirit and Jesus dwelt among us.

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth.

We too can ask the Holy Spirit to lead us to all truth, fill us with grace and lead us closer to Jesus.

We can ask for Mary’s intercession a) to be open to the Word of God, as she was b) To believe the Word of God as she did c) To be open to the Holy Spirit as she was. d) To lead us and draw us closer to Jesus. So that Jesus always dwells in us, by the power of His word, and power of the Holy Spirit. We can become the temples of the Holy Spirit where Jesus, His word reigns over us.

Mother Mary was closest to Jesus all her life here on earth and now with Jesus in heaven. She held Him in her womb for 9 months, cared for Him, raised Him and always followed the Father’s will. She reflected upon the mysteries in her heart and always prayed that the Father’s will and plan was fulfilled.

She not only gave birth to Jesus, she followed Him all the way, to the cross. Her motherly eyes were always on her son Jesus.

Mary’s sorrowful heart was pierced during her son Jesus’s crucifixion. She stood by Jesus throughout His life and also during His passion and crucifixion. Crucified body of Jesus was taken down and laid in His mother’s arms.

Just imagine what might have gone through her heart, her mind – yet she believed in the Father’s plan.

John 19:27 Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.

She stood by her son Jesus at His last agony and the disciple, John took her into his home. Mother Mary is always interceding for all believers of Jesus a) to come close to the Father’s heart b) to be filled with His Holy Spirit c) to have strength to walk in His truth and d) do all that His perfect love requires of us, His perfect will.

Mother mary is always pointing all, leading all to her son, Jesus.

John 2:5 His mother said to the servers, “Do whatever he tells you.”

O Mary conceived without sin pray for us we have recourse to thee. Immaculate heart of Mary, pray for us.

The book ’33 Days to Morning Glory’ by Michael E Gaitley, MIC is a good one to get & read (either from a store or library), and do the consecration to Mother Mary either on your own or with a group of friends.
