Come Holy Spirit

Day 10:  Patience of the Holy Spirit (fruit of the Holy Spirit)

Romans 8:24-25 For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.

“Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections, but instead set about remedying them—every day begin the task anew.”  – Francis de Sales

Reflection: Where in your life do you need to grow in patience with yourself, with others, and/or with God?

Prayer: Jesus, I am struggling to be patient with [myself/others/God] because of [circumstance that is making you impatient]. Holy Spirit, I invite you into this area of my life and ask for the gift of patience. Please help me have hope in you and grow in patience; I trust that you know what I need when I need it. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!

Scripture declaration: "I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry." Psalm 40:1
