Day 30: Gift of healing 

“We have been called to heal wounds, to unite what has fallen apart, and to bring home those who have lost their way.” – St Francis of Assisi

1 Corinthians 12:9 to another faith by the same Spirit; to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit;

Acts 3:6 Peter said, “I have neither silver nor gold, but what I do have I give you: in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, [rise and] walk.”

“Heal the sick!”The Church has received this charge from the Lord and strives to carry it out by taking care of the sick as well as by accompanying them with her prayer of intercession. She believes in the life-giving presence of Christ, the physician of souls and bodies. This presence is particularly active through the sacraments, and in an altogether special way through the Eucharist, the bread that gives eternal life and that St. Paul suggests is connected with bodily health. ^{(Catechism of Catholic Church 1509)}

By faith in the name of Jesus Christ and by the power of His Holy Spirit at work in us through the sacraments, His word, we can receive physical, spiritual and inner healing (from all past wounds) according to the Father’s will. 

Let us ask the Holy Spirit to stir us, help us understand and receive frequently His healing love and mercy found in the Eucharistic, in His name, and in His word.

Call upon the name of Jesus frequently throughout the day in faith and experience His love and presence. 

Holy Spirit come touch us, and heal all the areas that need Your healing. Heal the brokeness, wounds, physical ailments, spiritual hardness, bitterness or any resentment and fill all those areas with the ocean of Your healing mercy and love. Help me experience Your healing touch, Your healing power and Your healing presence. Help me be a witness of Your mercy, Your love and Your healing for Your greater glory. 

Acts 3:16 And by faith in his name, this man, whom you see and know, his name has made strong, and the faith that comes through it has given him this perfect health, in the presence of all of you.

Come into His presence and bring all the areas of your life to the Lord for His healing touch and meditate on His name, His most precious blood and His holy wounds.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you for loving me. I thank you for sending your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, to the world to save and to set me free. I trust in your power and grace that sustain and restore me. Loving Father, touch me now with your healing hands, for I believe that your will is for me to be well in mind, body, soul and spirit. Cover me with the most precious blood of your Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ from the top of my head to the soles of my feet. Cast anything that should not be in me. Root out any unhealthy and abnormal cells. Open any blocked arteries or veins and rebuild and replenish any damaged areas. Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection by the power of Jesus’ precious blood. Let the fire of your healing love pass through my entire body to heal and make new any diseased areas so that my body will function the way you created it to function. Touch also my mind and my emotion, even the deepest recesses of my heart. Saturate my entire being with your presence, love, joy, and peace, and draw me ever closer to you every moment of my life. And Father, fill me with your Holy Spirit and empower me to do your works so that my life will bring glory and honor to your holy name. I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
