Day 38: Holy Spirit – Unity of body of Christ 

1 Corinthians 1:10 I urge you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree in what you say, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and in the same purpose.

St Alphonsus Liguori: If we would completely rejoice the heart of God, let us strive in all things to conform ourselves to His divine will. Let us not only strive to conform ourselves, but also to unite ourselves to whatever dispositions God makes of us.

• What causes me to have conflicts with my family or friend?
• Can I surrender situations, relationships to God and trust in God to take control, especially when I am misjudged for my good intentions?
• Can I choose to love my family & friends and serve them, even when I am ridiculed, abused & misjudged and unite my suffering with the Lord’s suffering?

Prayer: My Lord, My Lord, into thy hands I commend my whole-self, my thoughts, my words, actions and feelings. It’s no longer I who live but You who lives in me. Give me the power to bear sufferings and persecution in the midst of ridicules, abuse and judgement. Give me your grace to lean on You, Your strength to let go, bear my share of hardships and overcome for the sake of the Unity of Your Church, Body of Christ. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Mathew 5:9-10 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Psalm 40:10-11: I have not hidden your deliverance within my heart; I have spoken of your faithfulness and your salvation; I have not concealed your steadfast love and your faithfulness from the great congregation. As for you, O Lord, you will not restrain your mercy from me; your steadfast love and your faithfulness will ever preserve me!
