Day 41: Holy Spirit – Breathe of God
Genesis 2:7 Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
Father, I thank you for that moment in time when you breathed Your Holy Spirit and formed me in my mother’s womb, as I received the breath of life. I realize that I need You to breathe in me every day, to receive power to do Your will in my life. As I get up every day of my life, I beg you to breathe Your Holy Spirit into me in my first moment of waking to the dawn.
“According to the degree to which the intellect is stripped of the passions, the Holy Spirit initiates the intellect into the mysteries of the age to be.” —St. Thalassios the Libyan
Prayer: Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit, That my thoughts may all be holy. Act in me, O Holy Spirit, That my work, too, may be holy. Draw my heart, O Holy Spirit, That I love but what is holy. Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit, To defend all that is holy.
Declaration: I breathe in the Holy Spirit and I come to life in every area where I believe it is impossible to see victory in Jesus name.
