Word of God – prepare my heart and dwell in me

9) Await the second coming of the Lord:

From the Scriptures you will learn also of His second manifestation to us, glorious and divine indeed, when He shall come not in lowliness but in His proper glory, no longer in humiliation but in majesty, no longer to suffer but to bestow on us all the fruit of His cross—the resurrection and incorruptibility. No longer will He then be judged, but rather will Himself be Judge, judging each and all according to their deeds done in the body, whether good or ill. (On the Incarnation of the Word, St Athanasius of Alexandria, Chapter 9, Conclusion)

2 Peter 3: 10 – 13 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a mighty roar and the elements will be dissolved by fire, and the earth and everything done on it will be found out. Exhortation to Preparedness.Since everything is to be dissolved in this way, what sort of persons ought [you] to be, conducting yourselves in holiness and devotion, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved in flames and the elements melted by fire.  But according to his promise we await new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

Rejoice, be prayerful, watchful and ready for the Lord always.

What is the Lord asking of you individually? Reflect & pray.

Ephesians 6:18 With all prayer and supplication, pray at every opportunity in the Spirit. To that end, be watchful with all perseverance and supplication for all the holy ones

Lord grant us all the grace to cling to Him till the end, preserve in faith and hold on to His Word, to live each new day, fresh with a childlike heart in His grace and mercy and stay close to His Heart.

May every heart always be open and ready to listen and obey His Word, strive to seek and know His Will and be always be faithful to the call of God. Do everything for His glory with the help and strength that comes from the Lord. So when He comes, he finds a faithful child eagerly waiting for Him.

Come Lord Jesus, Come! Come make Your dwelling in me.
